Israel: Turkish Military Bases in Syria Are a Red Line
Welat TV - Erbil
Israel has once again stressed its opposition to the establishment of Turkish military bases in Syria.
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar said in an interview with France Press Agency (AFP) that Israel remains committed to preserving the current situation in Syria.
He added that Israel would not accept the establishment of Turkish military bases in Syria, describing the issue as “a red line for Israel.”
According to Sa’ar, Israel’s position is aimed at preventing a repeat of what he described as the scenario of Iranian dominance in Lebanon and Gaza, this time involving Turkey and Syria.
At the same time, the Israeli foreign minister said that Israel had no interest in escalating tensions with Turkey and continued to seek diplomatic solutions to resolve disputes.
